Outside my window (March 15th 2023)

Outside my window today ...
Rain, and grey skies.

I am thinking...
Spring is on the way.

I am thankful...
For the breath in my lungs.

In the kitchen...
A mess after cooking tuna pasta bake.
I'm a messy cook and it didn't entail much work.

I am wearing...
A navy hoodie and navy trousers.

I am creating...
Little Easter treats for lunch club.

I am going...
To get Chewie cat some food and let Murphy dog out in the garden.

I am wondering...
Why my Chewie cat follows me to the post box.

I am reading...
On Our Knees: 40 days to living boldly in prayer by Phil Wickham and Matt Litton.

I am hoping...
My son's torn achilles heel mends soon, without the need for surgery.

I am looking forward to...
Spending some time with my grandchildren at the weekend.

I am learning...
to be real and to just  Abide in Christ.

Around the house...
Cleaned the hall which had lots of things in it that shouldn't have been there.

I am pondering...
Which book to do a bible study on.

One of my favorite things...
Having breakfast at my favourite tea room.

A few plans for the rest of the week ...
Walk in the park.
Life Group on Friday and Prayer and Praise evening.

Outside my window...
The absence of light

I am thinking...
This has to be the year that I put my house in order as so much has changed that I need to spend time sorting out my unwanted items.

I am thankful...
for the wonderful people in my life who are and have been so very supportive through an extremely difficult time

In the kitchen...
the smell of ironing

I am wearing...
skinny leg jeans, so comfortable, ssort of zebra type print top and long cardigan

I am creating...
space in my mind to come up with ideas for enamelling

I am going...
downstairs any minute now to chill and watch TV

I am wondering...
if I will ever be de-cluttered as I always seem to be doing

I am reading...
Genesis

I am hoping...
it will be a blessed year

I am looking forward to...
tomorrow, I like Sundays, church in the morning when the youngsters are taking the morning service. I'm playing guitar as they sing Jesus' love is very wonderful. I don't play very well but we get by

I am learning...
patience and that I need to wait on the Lord ... be of good courage and he will strengthen thine heart, wait I say on the Lord (Psalm 27:14)

Around the house...
The sound of silence as grandchildren are in bed and asleep

I am pondering...
what hymns to choose for the service I will be leading in a couple of weeks time

One of my favorite things...
always having my grandchildren around me

A few plans for the rest of the week ...
Prayer meeting Monday, Finance meeting Tuesday and Bible study if the meeting finishes early enough - it doesn't usually but I can pray. Today

Outside my window...
As usual by the time I get to put anything on here it is late at night so, outside my window is dark with only the street light shining through.

I am thinking...
I would like to retire and be able to read my bible during the day instead of going to work,  and I would like to enamel more often at my little craft studio

I am thankful...
for the sunshine we are having despite being at work during the day.  Although today I was in my studio with a group of women teaching a beginners workshop in enamelling and it was a fun day

In the kitchen...
chicken and asparagus although not very exciting

I am wearing...
  jeans and a navy blouse

I am creating...
enamelled pieces for my studio shop

I am going...
to babysit my adorable grandchildren early in the morning

I am wondering...
how I can de-clutter my home more, it is long overdue.  I don't like throwing things away just in case they come in for something ....... (they never do!)

I am reading...
  Just finished reading Romans

I am hoping...
it will not be too busy at school next week (I am a school secretary) as this week was manic to say the least

I am looking forward to...
   tomorrow, I like Sundays

I am learning...
to take things easy, especially as I was ill for 5 weeks during the school holidays and am only just beginning to fee lbetter.

Around the house...
Quiet.

I am pondering...
the situation with human trafficking.  So many young girls(and boys) being abused mentally and physically and taken from their families to live in the most apalling conditions.  Let's pray they are set free.

One of my favorite things...
   being around family and friends.

A few plans for the rest of the week:
Babysitting tomorrow, prayer meeting Monday, Bible study Tuesday, rest and relax rest of week (if only)

A peek into my day… enamel workshop with some lovely ladies

Outside my window: darkness - but the street light is shining through the window.

From the learning rooms: Reading about Deborah and Barak let me see that we all face our own battles and that the Lord is right there with us, oftentimes going ahead of us into the battle.

I am thankful for: all that the Lord teaches me and has taught me in my walk with Him.

From the kitchen: never much doing in the kitchen, I never seem to have time to cook.

I am creating: enamelled jewellery at my little craft unit.

Around the house: ironing basket is getting full.

A few plans for the rest of the week: grandchildren coming over tomorrow, hair appointment Friday, Saturday looking after grandchildren for a few hours, church Sunday.

Monday

Outside my window: darkness - a very late night as I've been to sugar craft classes.
From the learning rooms: That I need to slow down, take thought to what I cram into the week and not forget to spend time with the Lord.
I am thankful for: my sweet mam. She's in hospital at the moment, has gallstones and they need to get them out so I'm praying all will be well.
From the kitchen: nothing doing as ever, no smells of cooking I just never seem to have the time. I am reading: Hosea and have learned so much especially about the need to break up the fallow ground in my life.
I am creating: space - a clown made of icing sugar. He is looking more like an alien but when finished I will try and get a pic to show you the result. If you pop over to my daily honeycombs you'll see my very first sugar craft attempt at a bear, Egbeart. Sadly Egbeart is no more, his leg fell off and he was not well.
Around the house: not a lot happing on that front.
A few plans for the rest of the week: Well Ihave a meeting after work tomorrow night so it will be a late one, I think I'm free Wednesday and Thursday and then helping at youth club Friday.
