Monday

Outside my window: darkness - a very late night as I've been to sugar craft classes.
From the learning rooms: That I need to slow down, take thought to what I cram into the week and not forget to spend time with the Lord.
I am thankful for: my sweet mam. She's in hospital at the moment, has gallstones and they need to get them out so I'm praying all will be well.
From the kitchen: nothing doing as ever, no smells of cooking I just never seem to have the time. I am reading: Hosea and have learned so much especially about the need to break up the fallow ground in my life.
I am creating: space - a clown made of icing sugar. He is looking more like an alien but when finished I will try and get a pic to show you the result. If you pop over to my daily honeycombs you'll see my very first sugar craft attempt at a bear, Egbeart. Sadly Egbeart is no more, his leg fell off and he was not well.
Around the house: not a lot happing on that front.
A few plans for the rest of the week: Well Ihave a meeting after work tomorrow night so it will be a late one, I think I'm free Wednesday and Thursday and then helping at youth club Friday.

Anyday but Monday

I think Simply Jean is going to just be an any day post as I never seem able to get something done on Mondays so for Thursday

Outside my window: it is overcast with a light drizzle, so different after yesterdays beautiful sunshine.
From the learning rooms: Well that an 84 year old mam can still teach a daughter how to make pastry. When I visited mam we baked pies for my son but I wasn't rolling the pastry correctly, mam said 'roll away from you then turn' I was just rolling back and forth a few times before turning. Never too old to learn something new.

I am thankful for: answered prayer, for my family. I love spending time with them and it was great going to spend 2 weeks in my home town and seeing everyone.

From the kitchen: nothing today but I am definitely considering baking again as I don't do baking but I made biscuits for my grandchildren when I was at mams so look out kitchen here I come.

I am reading: Several books at the moment one on prayer and the other on the pentecostal blessing, also the book of Revelation which I love reading.

I am creating: space - yes space, I am going to have a good sort out and get rid of everything I don't need as I am surrounded by clutter ...
Around the house: De clutter - which goes along with the creating space.

A few plans for the rest of the week: Babysitting tonight as it's Marc and Sams 7th wedding anniversary. Silver Art clay workshop with a friend on Friday. A weekend of just relaxing as I am shattered after a day out with 3 grandchildren all on my own but we had a great time and it was worth the being shattered.

A picture thought I am sharing: I thought I'd share another family pic with you. Again this one was taken last year at the beach when I visited mam and the family but as I've just come back from sharing another 2 weeks up there and didn't take any pics I decided to show you this one of my sister Brenda, brother Michael and Mam and me ofcourse. Believe it or not the dolphin was a rubbish bin - don't ask me why we were taken by a rubbish bin!!!!

Is it that long since I last wrote

Outside my window: it is dark and wet - dark because it is very late and wet well yes, it's been raining!! and I can't believe it's that long since I last wrote.

From the learning rooms: Reading about the tabernacle of God at the moment and the entrances. When Christ died on the cross and the veil in the temple was rent from top to bottom we were given entrance into the holy of holies.

I am thankful for: my family. I love spending time with them and it was great going out for a meal last week to celebrate my son's 30th birthday. My grandchildren enjoyed it too.

From the kitchen: trying to be healthy and eat healthier food so salad stuff in the fridge but oh for some chocolate - lettuce, tomato and chocolate maybe!! hmm perhaps not.

I am reading: Amos and a small book about the tabernacle called House of Gold.

I am creating: confusion in my mind - so much to do and not enough time to do it.

Around the house: the usual washing dishes, no dishwasher for me, these hands that do dishes are as soft as your face with mild green fairy liquid.

A few plans for the rest of the week: Try and go for some walks. See my grandchildren. Bible study tomorrow night.

Friday, 19 February 2010

Outside my window: is a world of white, it snowed quite some time yesterday but the roads are passable so it's not too bad and the sun is shining so I imagine the snow will go soon.

From the learning rooms: always learning, I think perhaps patience at the moment and to just take one day at a time.

I am thankful for: my mam. She has been really poorly lately and had to have major surgery but the Lord has answered prayer and she is getting stronger each day. It was a lot for an 84 year to go through but we are praying now that she gets home soon.

From the kitchen: nothing as I'm upstairs, although my tummy says it's lunchtime so I will go and take a look at what's on the menu.

I am reading: my Bible and trying to get in The Time Traveler's Wife, a book my sister got me for Christmas. It's a strange one but sounds interesting.

I am creating: clutter. I just seem to be moving things around at the moment from either one room to the other or in my studio and rather than having a semblance of order, clutter seems to be emerging.

.Around the house: I'd rather not - too much washing and ironing to do.

A few plans for the rest of the week: Helping at church youth club tonight, up at the studio tomorrow, speaking at church Sunday night then back to work Monday .

A picture thought
I am sharing - My mam and I taken at the beach in Sunderland last year.

I went up home for a couple of days and my sister and brother in law took mam and I to the beach. It was a beautiful, warm days and we had a great time
