The Simple Things

Outside my window...
the sun is shining and the snow is melting - maybe Spring is on the way (the sun was shining when I typed this earlier it is now dark but the snow has gone)

I am thinking...
I love this blogging and it was a lovely surprise to hear from my sister's friends. Thank you for your lovely comments.

I am thankful for ...
the fact that my grandson's nosebleeds yesterday were a result of ear infection and nothing more serious.

From the learning rooms ...
The Lord inhabits the praises of his people.
From the kitchen ...
I wonder if I can get the walls replastered this year.

I am wearing... a deep purple trousers, top and cardigan (it's a lovely colour)

I am creating ...
thoughts in my mind of how I'd like the kitchen to look when I finally get round to decorating

I am going ...
to do more walking - it snowed today and I had to walk to work. It was very refreshing, I need to do more

I am reading ...
my Bible and Hungry for more of Jesus by David Wilkerson

I am hoping ...
it's the last of the snow - it does look beautiful when it is all white and fluffy looking but not so nice when it turns to slush

I am hearing...
Praise the Lord by Russ Taff on Youtube

Around the house...
Need to do some sorting - I'm a big hoarder and need to throw stuff out or get to the charity shops

One of my favorite things...
Being in my little craft unit at weekends and making my jewellery
A few plans for the rest of the week:
Babysitting tomorrow, church on Sunday - I was going to the hairdressers but had to cancel because of other commitments

Here is picture thought I am sharing... this was taken last year when we went up to visit the family in Sunderland - my sister Denise was over from America. It was so lovely to see everyone. We had a lovely time.
The photograph is of my son Marc, grandsons Benjamin and Thomas and me at Seaburn. I don't have many photographs of all of us so it was nice that my daughter in law Sam took this one.

  1. Oh but poor Ben doesn't look very happy? I wonder if I took any of you all when I was there, I'll have a look and send you it if I did.
Hope you have a lovely week sis. I just did my simple daybook, it's only once a week on Monday's ;-)

  2. Good Morning Jean! What a lovely photo of you, your son, & grandsons! I hope you have warmed up a wee bit - you are right, snow is so beautiful for awhile, but turned quickly ugly as the dirty slushy part happens. We don't get snow in Las Vegas, but I do wish it would snow on Christmas Eve & Christmas Day. Hope you have a blessed day Jean. Thank you for visiting my blogs. Hugs!

  3. Hi Jean, I hope you are having an excellent week. I'm in the middle of preparing last details for my classes tomorrow! Can't wait for the week-end though! God bless.
